Trish has been physically active for most of her life focussing mostly on playing high level netball in her home town of Melbourne. As she moved around the country with her corporate job she found that joining the local netball club was a fabulous way to meet the locals, stay fit and have an outlet outside of the office. Along with her love of netball Trish was also fortunate to represent the City of Melbourne in an International Dragon Boating competition that was hosted in Beijing in the early 1990’s - a time when China was not the tourist destination it is today. Trish discovered Pilates following a running injury after training for and completing a half marathon. As much as she loved running Trish realised that her body wasn’t made for it so decided to find a more suitable exercise regime. Whilst she initially practiced Pilates for rehabilitation purposes she was pleasantly surprised to find that she could be challenged through the practice of Pilates and found that the level of focus, precision, strength and control that was required resonated with her and enabled her to challenge her body and mind at the same time. Trish loves that Pilates is for everyone and is something that can be practiced even as we age. She particularly enjoys the mind/body connection and balance challenges that it provides. Trish loves to see her clients have an ‘oh yes’ moment - when they realise that it was their mind that was stopping them from doing a move and not their body.
